We bought this for my daughter, who lives in a shared college apartment. This was the perfect space-saving solution for a full-length mirror with storage that also locks. This piece has TONS of storage options! I will agree with other comments that the lock is not like a safe, but it will add a layer of security :) I am wondering if it's possible to get a second set of keys to keep as backup; I foresee the current set easily getting lost. Fingers crossed for good org skills in college :):):)It is a bit of a pain to put together but it works. I put it in the corner of my room so if it were to tip over it hits a wall.I love it , the post earrings you can't get them to stay in the holes (it's hard to get the backs on through back. I would suggest material Luke for earrings fir post to fit right in yhe holes with the backs but you can put hoops, and other bigger earrings in the holes. Now all I need is one just Like this ONLY for Make Up.Mirror is practical. It holds a lot of jewelry and makeup. It took me and my daughter about an hour to assemble.Product is cute and concept is great. However it lacks functional design. The inside isnt deep enough between the shelves and the necklace hooks on the opposite side, so if you are hanging multiple necklaces, the door doesn’t close completely because there isnt enough space. Must lock to keep it close. Otherwise I like the item.We are replacing two pieces of furniture with this unit. There is a very nice Queen Anne jewelry armoire and a very nice Cheval mirror that are being replaced with this unit, to make room for a dressing chair.First, the finish on this piece is much darker than what was in the picture. This is much more of a dark burnished oak finish. Not the mid-tone cherry or light oak that we thought it would be. Next, the entire thing is made of engineered wood, like particle board with a printed vinyl skin. Not one piece of solid wood in the whole unit. Then, including the storage shelves in the back, it still doesn't have the capacity of the other armoire. You'd think that for a unit that is roughly 5 feet tall, 4 inches deep and over a foot wide, it would have at least as much space. Not so.The idea that it locks is kind of silly. If there was a burglary, that would not stop a thief from just taking what they want. It's kind of like a latch on a screen door. It only keeps honest people honest.it was also missing a couple of pieces of hardware, that apparently fell out of the blister pack, before it was placed inside the unit. I came up with some of my own to finish the construction. But, that's not the point. I really don't like the little knob for the door. I will come up with something a little more stylish and functional.Frankly, I was kind of disappointed in the overall quality, based on how much it cost. It does what it was supposed to do. But, just not as well as we thought it would. It looks good. But, not the same as in the pictures. The only reason we're keeping it is that we really didn't see an alternative that we thought would be any better. It was slightly difficult to put together as tiny black screws into black velvet covered holes makes it hard to see/ manage. But overall very easy to put together other than that! Very sturdy & beautiful. Only wish it was lighted inside.Just got it and put it together right away. It’s VERY CUTE, shabby chic looking. The screws/hardware were NOT meant for larger hands and couldn’t been planned better. The weight of the door (after loading up the earrings and bracelets - I don’t have a lot a lot) seems to cause the door to flop open. Not a big deal with I am wondering if this will affect the stand or cause the door to sag in a year or so. We’ll see.Overall - I like it
