I didn’t give this bed 5 starts because there was a few issues. The box had 2 of the same railings when in fact they were supposed to be opposites so we had to drill our own holes since all the holes were on the wrong side. Also you do need a tape mesure for this bed as there are many hole you have to make yourself when it comes to the wooden slats. The box says to not use a drill but using just a screw driver to creat your own holes was very painful and time consuming. Once the bed was together it is sturdy which is great but the trundle is a bit tough to get back under the bed as there is no guide for it. You literally just roll it under so you have to adjust from the sides as you are pushing it back. It’s do-able just not convenientIn this case, it’s exactly what we needed. Reasonable assembly. Nice finish. The “wings” are a little flimsy but functional. BE SURE TO MEASURE YOUR MATTRESS HEIGHT. Our brand new foam mattresses were too tall for the trundle so we had to get risers for the main frame. Also, PUSHING THE TRUNDLE BACK IS HARD TO LINE UP. Doable but “fussy”.So satisfied
